Lahore Child Burnt Case

Gulberg Model Colony: A tragic incident unfolded in Lahore’s Gulberg area, where a workshop owner allegedly set a 12-year-old employee, Faizan, on fire, leaving him severely burnt.

According to police reports, petrol from a car’s carburetor accidentally spilled on Faizan, soaking his clothes. When the boy informed his employer, Babar, the accused reportedly ignited a matchstick and threw it at him — causing Faizan’s body to catch fire and resulting in critical burns.

The injured child was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

Upon receiving notice, DIG Operations directed swift action. SHO Gulberg, Taimoor Abbas Khan, traced and arrested the fleeing suspect Babar using modern technology.

An FIR has been registered on the complaint of Faizan’s father, Shah Muhammad. SHO Gulberg confirmed that the accused has been taken into custody and locked up.

“The accused Babar has been arrested and is currently in police custody,” said SHO Gulberg Taimoor Abbas Khan.
