Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen said Russia is suffering massive losses on the battlefield, while its domestic economy is under severe strain.
Finland FM Calls for tougher sanctions are essential to support Ukraine in this critical time.
She stated that instead of reconsidering its war of aggression against Ukraine, Russia is intensifying attacks on civilian infrastructure, leaving families without heating and forcing them to endure freezing conditions in their homes.
“As the free world, we must act together to force Russia to end its war,” Valtonen said. Speaking at the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) meeting in Brussels today, she called for tougher sanctions and a complete ban on maritime services for ships transporting Russian oil.
Finland’s foreign minister has urged the EU to impose tougher sanctions on Russia and ban maritime services for Russian oil shipments amid the Ukraine war.
