At least 34 people were injured in a Russian Lviv Missile Attack overnight into July 30, city officials said, as rescue crews continued searching for people trapped beneath rubble. Two residents remain missing.
The strike hit residential buildings on Patona and Vyhovskoho streets around 4:40โ4:45 a.m. local time, according to Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.
He said more than 20 residential buildings were damaged citywide, along with a school and two kindergartens.

According to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, two high-rise residential buildings took direct hits.
The injury toll climbed through the morning, rising from an initial estimate of around 20 to a confirmed 34, including a rescue worker among the injured.
Rescue teams, police, and bomb-disposal specialists remained at the scene for hours. Crews also worked to safely defuse an unexploded warhead from one of the missiles that struck a residential building, officials said.

Ukraine’s Air Force said air raid alerts were issued nationwide as it tracked incoming ballistic and cruise missiles overnight. Officials also reported that a Russian missile briefly violated Polish airspace during the attack, prompting Poland to convene a coordination response.

City officials described a chaotic morning as residents were pulled from damaged buildings. Sadovyi, updating residents through the night, said search-and-rescue work would continue until everyone was accounted for.
One resident, describing the destruction to reporters, said she lost her home entirely in the strike.
