Ukraine will not cede any territory to Russia, President Volodymyr Zelensky declared on Saturday, just hours after Washington and Moscow confirmed plans to hold a summit aimed at ending the war.

“Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier,” Zelensky said on social media. “Any decisions against us, any decisions without Ukraine, are also decisions against peace they will achieve nothing. The war cannot be ended without us, without Ukraine.”

Despite three rounds of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine earlier this year, no breakthrough has been achieved, and it remains uncertain whether the upcoming summit will bring the conflict any closer to resolution.
