US Expects Gaza Conflict to Be Resolved by Year-End

US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff says the Gaza conflict is expected to be resolved by year-end. On Tuesday, he confirmed that President Donald Trump will chair a White House meeting to discuss the matter. meeting on Gaza on Wednesday, where a “comprehensive post-war plan” will be discussed.

The U.S. State Department also announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will hold talks with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar in Washington at 3:15 PM local time.

Witkoff stressed that Israel is ready to continue negotiations with Hamas, noting that the group has shown willingness to strike a deal. While details of the White House meeting remain undisclosed, Witkoff said: “We believe this matter will be resolved one way or another, certainly before the end of this year.”
