Kyiv faced another wave of Russian missile strikes on Thursday morning, forcing residents to rush into underground shelters as air defenses attempted to intercept the barrage. Emergency services were deployed across several districts of the capital.
City officials confirmed that at least four people were killed and 24 injured in the attacks.
Among the dead were two children, including a 14-year-old girl, according to Kyiv’s military administration chief Timur Tkachanko.
He warned that the toll could rise as rescue operations continue.
One of the hardest-hit areas was the Darnytskyi district, where a five-story residential building sustained a direct strike.
“Everything has been destroyed,” Tkachanko said. In central Kyiv, a major roadway was littered with shattered glass following the blasts.
Local authorities reported that more than 20 sites across the capital were targeted, leaving rescue teams scrambling to pull survivors from the rubble.
