Estonia shuts airspace near Russian border

Tallinn: Estonia has temporarily closed its airspace near the Russian border after a series of Ukrainian drone attacks targeted Russia’s Leningrad region and amid reports of heightened Russian military activity.

The decision, announced by Estonian authorities, is part of precautionary measures to ensure national security and civilian aviation safety. Officials emphasized that the move reflects rising tensions in the Baltic region as the war in Ukraine continues to spill over into neighboring territories.
