The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) shows how clean or corrupt a country’s public sector is, scored from 0 (very corrupt) to 100 (very clean).

In the 2024 report, Hungary ranked the lowest in the European Union with a score of 41.

On the other hand, Denmark (90) and Finland (88) received the highest scores, making them the least corrupt countries in the EU.

The index highlights how Northern European nations continue to lead in transparency, while some Eastern European states struggle with governance challenges.
