Helsinki Finnish President Alexander Stubb strongly condemned Russiaโ€™s violation of Estonian airspace, terming it an irresponsible actโ€ and pledging Finlandโ€™s full solidarity with its neighbor and ally.

NATO and its allies responded swiftly and decisively,โ€ Stubb said, emphasizing that the incident must be seen as part of Russiaโ€™s broader actions rather than an isolated episode.

He further noted that during the Article 4 consultations requested by Estonia, NATO would build joint situational awareness and decide on the next steps. He highlighted that the already-launched Eastern Sentry operation was a key part of the allianceโ€™s collective response.

Stubb also pointed out that the EUโ€™s 19th sanctions package has added significant pressure on Russiaโ€™s warfighting capacity, underlining Europeโ€™s continued resolve against Moscowโ€™s aggression.

โ€œAlexander Stubbโ€™s strong words signal growing NATO unity against Russiaโ€™s provocations.โ€
