Severe floods wreak havoc across Southern Europe

Southern Europe is facing widespread disruption as torrential rains triggered flooding and landslides across multiple countries.

In Italy, heavy downpours battered the Lombardy region, flooding parts of Milan and causing landslides in the province of Como. Rescue teams were deployed to assist stranded residents and clear blocked roads.

France’s Côte d’Azur was also hit, with the city of Toulon reporting major power outages that left tens of thousands of households without electricity.

In Spain, severe weather turned deadly, claiming one life while another person remains missing as search operations continue.

Authorities across the region have issued weather alerts, urging residents to remain cautious as more rain is forecast in the coming days.
