Islamabad In a shocking incident, police stormed the National Press Club in the capital city, Islamabad, and brutally assaulted journalists inside the cafeteria.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that journalists were subjected to severe violence, sparking outrage among media organizations.

Despite the gravity of the incident, authorities have remained silent. Press bodies and journalist unions have condemned the assault, calling it yet another example of shrinking press freedom in Pakistan.

Journalists across the country say they are increasingly unsafe, facing state oppression, intimidation, and violence.
