Pak-Afghan Border Tensions Escalate Amid Heavy Shelling

Heavy exchanges continue along the Pak Afghan border as Pakistani forces maintain artillery shelling on militant positions in Aryoub Zazi, Paktia, and Angoor Adda, Barmal district of Paktika province.

According to security sources, the shelling is part of Pakistan’s ongoing counteroffensive following repeated cross-border attacks from the Afghan side. The strikes are reportedly targeting terrorist hideouts and positions used for launching attacks against Pakistani border posts.

Tensions remain high in the region, with reports indicating sustained engagements between both sides. Security officials reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to safeguard its territorial integrity and respond firmly to any aggression from across the border.
