Finnish Air Force F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets have officially joined NATO’s ongoing nuclear exercise, marking Finland’s second participation and the first time it has publicly announced its involvement.

Defense officials confirmed that while Finland’s Hornet aircraft are not equipped to carry nuclear weapons, their participation highlights the country’s growing integration into NATO’s defense framework following its recent membership.

The exercise aims to enhance coordination, readiness, and deterrence among allied air forces amid rising global security concerns.
