Pakistan has carried out targeted airstrikes deep inside Kabul, Afghanistan, striking militant hideouts and killing several fighters over the past few days.

According to security sources, the strikes were launched in response to recent cross-border attacks allegedly carried out by militants based in Afghan territory.

The operations aimed to dismantle safe havens used by anti-Pakistan elements operating from across the border.

Witnesses in Kabul reported multiple explosions in the city’s outskirts, followed by emergency response operations.

Afghan authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.

Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have increased in recent months, as Islamabad accuses Kabul of harboring armed groups responsible for violence inside Pakistan.

The latest airstrikes mark one of the most significant cross-border military actions in recent years.

Officials in Pakistan claim the strikes were “precise and intelligence-based,” emphasizing that the operation targeted only militant positions.

Further details about casualties and damage assessment are still emerging.
