Turkey A strong 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey, leaving at least 22 people injured

most of them while jumping from balconies in fear.

Officials said the quake’s epicenter was about 6 kilometers deep.

Three buildings and a store collapsed, but all occupants were safely evacuated.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan confirmed that tremors were also felt in Istanbul and Izmir.
