German journalist injured in Russian drone strike in Ukraine

In Ukraine, German WELT chief reporter Ibrahim Naber was injured in a Russian drone attack while reporting near the front lines.

Naber was accompanying a Ukrainian air defense unit when a Russian “Lancet” drone targeted a nearby military vehicle.

The strike killed one Ukrainian soldier and seriously injured another.

Naber, along with his cameraman Viktor and producer Ivan, also sustained injuries during the explosion.


Footage from the scene captured the moment of impact, showing the sudden blast and ensuing chaos near the front lines.
