Canada, Pakistan hold talks on trade and investment growth

Canadian officials have held a productive call with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar,

focusing on enhancing bilateral economic cooperation. Discussions included opening

Pakistan’s market for Canadian canola imports, reviewing the Foreign Investment

Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA) model, and strengthening overall economic engagement between the two countries.

The Canadian representative appreciated Minister Ishaq Dar for a series of constructive

meetings held earlier in Kuala Lumpur and New York, and for the positive dialogue during the recent call.
