France detains four suspects over Russian espionage links

French authorities have detained four individuals, including two Russian citizens, on charges related to espionage and alleged cooperation with Russian intelligence services.

According to official sources, two key figures of the association “SOS Donbass” a group claiming to provide humanitarian aid have been placed in pre-trial detention.

Key Individuals Detained

  • Anna N., a 40-year-old dual French–Russian citizen, founder of SOS Donbass (established in September 2022).
  • Vincent P., a 63-year-old French national and current president of the group. He previously led the Corsica branch of the pro-Russian biker club “Night Wolves.”

Investigators suspect that SOS Donbass used its humanitarian aid convoys and activities as a cover for intelligence operations in support of Russia.

Other Individuals Charged

  • Bernard F., 58, another member of the organization, has been charged with colluding with a foreign state. He has been released under judicial supervision.
  • The fourth detainee, a 40-year-old individual whose identity has not been disclosed publicly, is also under investigation for suspected links to the network.

Authorities say the case involves serious national security concerns, as the group allegedly maintained covert connections with Russian operatives under the guise of humanitarian work.
