A Namibian politician named Adolf Hitler Uunona, aged 59, has once again won regional elections and for the fifth consecutive term in the Omulunga constituency, local media reported.

Uunona has been governing the district since 2004, maintaining a strong political presence in the region for two decades.

The politician previously stated that his father gave him the name “Adolf Hitler” without understanding its historical weight or the horrific legacy associated with it.

Though, as many observers jokingly note, that explanation continues to raise eyebrows.

This unusual name has repeatedly drawn global attention, especially when election results highlight a democratic leader bearing one of the most infamous names in history.

Namibia’s Adolf Hitler Uunona wins fifth term in Omulunga constituency elections.
