Pakistani Researcher Wins Outstanding Academic Award in China

Mr. Muhammad Zubair Tariq, a Lecturer in Marketing at MFK Noon Business School, University of Sargodha, Pakistan,

and currently a PhD Scholar at Southwest Jiaotong University, China under the Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC), has achieved a remarkable academic milestone.

The School of International Education at Southwest Jiaotong University has announced Mr. Zubair as the winner of the Outstanding Academic Research Paper Award 2025.

He received this distinction for his research paper titled
Reinventing Retail Through Humanoid Robots: A Study on How Customer Mindsets Shape Value Co-Creation, Influenced by

Perceived Robot Human Likeness, Service Proactivity, and Customer Emotional Intelligence.

The study was published in the prestigious Service Industries Journal (SSCI, Q1, ABS-2, ABDC-B), which holds an impact factor of 9.4 and a CiteScore of 16.1.

Notably, Mr. Zubair is the only researcher from the Business and Management category to win this award with the highest impact factor publication among SSCI-listed journals for the year.

His achievement highlights the growing global contribution of Pakistani scholars in advanced marketing research, particularly in the rapidly expanding field of AI-driven retail and humanoid service robotics.
