Brooklyn, New York: Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife have been transferred to the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, a facility known for housing high-profile inmates.

According to Axios, the detention center has previously held notable figures including rapper P. Diddy, who was sentenced to over

four years for charges related to transporting individuals for prostitution, and Ghislaine Maxwell, associate of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who received a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.

The MDC has a notorious reputation due to its harsh detention conditions, making it one of the most closely monitored correctional facilities in the United States.
