Nancy, France Authorities in the French city of Nancy launched an urgent search after three armed men forced a local kindergarten and elementary school to go into lockdown. The suspects, all wearing masks, were reportedly carrying weapons, including a Kalashnikov rifle.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident began when the three men approached the school building. The staff immediately activated the emergency protocol for attacks and intrusions, securing approximately 150 students inside the classrooms while keeping parents and visitors in a safe courtyard area.

Before attempting to breach the school, the suspects had reportedly tried to enter a nearby building located about fifty meters from the kindergarten. Following the failed attempt, the trio quickly left the scene in a vehicle.

Local police are currently conducting a thorough investigation and actively searching for the armed suspects. No injuries have been reported so far, and authorities have urged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious activity in the area.

The incident highlights growing concerns about school security and the need for emergency preparedness, particularly in locations with young children. Officials have assured that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety of students and staff.
