The Baltic states are increasing security measures because of fears of a possible Russian invasion, according to Lithuania’s public broadcaster LRT.

Explosive structures have appeared on bridges near Lithuania’s borders with Russia and Belarus. Authorities have also prepared dozens of storage points for anti-tank barriers, and trenches are being dug.

Finland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Poland are reportedly planning to fully mine parts of their borders with Russia and Belarus as a defensive step.

Meanwhile, Latvia has completed a 280-kilometer-long fence along its border with Russia to strengthen border security.

These moves show growing concern in the region as tensions with Moscow continue to rise.
