Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has officially approved Roman Hoffman as the new Director of Mossad, one of the worldโs most powerful and covert intelligence services. The Prime Ministerโs Office has confirmed his appointment.
Roman Hoffman was born in Mazyr, Belarus, and later moved to Israel with his family in the early 1990s. After repatriating, Hoffman joined the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in 1995, starting a journey that later shaped his intelligence career.
Although Mossadโs operations remain highly confidential, Hoffmanโs appointment indicates that he has built an exceptionally successful and trusted career inside Israelโs security and intelligence establishment.
Leading Mossad is considered one of the most critical and sensitive positions in Israel, given its global intelligence operations, counterterrorism role, and strategic missions.
