Estonia continues to strengthen its long-range strike capabilities. Since 2022, the country has shifted its defence strategy from purely territorial defence to an active defence concept.

The K239 multiple-launch rocket system is the third major capability added, following HIMARS and the Israeli Blue Spear missile. Together, these systems enable Estonia to cover ranges up to 300 km and beyond.

Officials indicate that there will be further developments in the country’s defence capabilities in the near future, reflecting Estonia’s commitment to enhancing regional security and deterrence.
