EU Chief Europe Won’t Let Russia Spread Division and Fear

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen warned that Russia is deliberately attempting to destabilize European societies by spreading division and fear.

Speaking to reporters as defense talks opened in Copenhagen, von der Leyen said Moscow’s tactics have become predictable.

“It’s a pattern, and this pattern is coming from Russia. Russia tries to test us, but it also seeks to sow division and anxiety in our societies. We will not let this happen,” she said.

Her remarks come amid heightened security discussions within the European Union, with leaders emphasizing unity against Russian influence operations and hybrid threats.
