Helsinki Finnish President Alexander Stubb strongly condemned Russiaโs violation of Estonian airspace, terming it an irresponsible actโ and pledging Finlandโs full solidarity with its neighbor and ally.
NATO and its allies responded swiftly and decisively,โ Stubb said, emphasizing that the incident must be seen as part of Russiaโs broader actions rather than an isolated episode.
He further noted that during the Article 4 consultations requested by Estonia, NATO would build joint situational awareness and decide on the next steps. He highlighted that the already-launched Eastern Sentry operation was a key part of the allianceโs collective response.
Stubb also pointed out that the EUโs 19th sanctions package has added significant pressure on Russiaโs warfighting capacity, underlining Europeโs continued resolve against Moscowโs aggression.
โAlexander Stubbโs strong words signal growing NATO unity against Russiaโs provocations.โ
