President of Finland Alexander Stubb has reaffirmed his country’s strong support for the United Nations and its Secretary-General António Guterres during a recent meeting.

Stubb described the UN and the wider multilateral system as “key pillars” of Finland’s foreign and security policy.

He commended Guterres for his initiative to reform the global body and encouraged him to pursue “bold and ambitious action” to strengthen the UN’s capacity to act for peace.

“True reform will ensure that the UN can act effectively for peace,” Stubb emphasized.

The meeting reflects Finland’s continued commitment to international cooperation and rules-based global governance.
