🇫🇮 Finland’s President Alexander Stubb has clarified that the country will not immediately shoot down unidentified drones or aerial objects entering its airspace. Instead, a “special protocol” will be followed.

In an interview, Stubb explained that airspace violations are handled in stages: first verification, then an official announcement, and finally a decision by the Finnish Air Force.

The president stressed that Europe is not at war with Russia, highlighting the need for a balanced “carrot and stick” strategy.

“First we used the carrot, and now President Trump is using the stick.

The recent statements about downed aircraft are part of that approach,” Stubb said.
