Finland has set an ambitious goal to become the global leader in drone technology and business within the next five years, targeting 2030.

Earlier this year, the government introduced its official national drone strategy, outlining plans to strengthen innovation, research, and industry growth in the sector.

At the same time, the Finnish Army announced that it will begin large-scale drone training for conscripts in the summer of 2026. Under this program, each infantry company will have a dedicated drone team trained to enhance operational capabilities.
