Finnish President Stubb visits Kazakhstan to boost trade

Finnish President Alexander Stubb has begun a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan, aimed at

boosting economic cooperation and enhancing bilateral relations between Finland and the Central Asian republic.

President Stubb’s visit has been described as highly anticipated in Kazakhstan, which seeks

to deepen trade links with Finland and the European Union.

During the first day of his visit, President Stubb is scheduled to meet Kazakh President

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the capital, Astana.
The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations, regional stability,

geopolitical developments affecting Europe and Central Asia, and Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine.
