Former CNN journalist Don Lemon has been arrested in the United States after a protest disrupted a church service in the state of Minnesota.
According to media reports, the incident happened during a religious service at a church. A group of anti-ICE protesters entered the church and began protesting while people were praying.
Don Lemon was present at the scene when the protest took place. Police say that the protest caused disturbance during the church service, which led to action by law enforcement authorities.
After the incident, Don Lemon was taken into custody by police. Authorities stated that interrupting a religious service is considered a violation of the law.
Don Lemon has said that he was at the church as a journalist and was covering the protest, not taking part in it. He claims he was doing his job as a reporter.
The arrest has started a discussion in the United States about press freedom, freedom of speech, and religious rights. Some journalist groups say reporters should not be arrested while covering protests.
Further legal proceedings are expected, and more details may be shared in the coming days.
