Several regions in Russia, along with areas under its control in Ukraine, are experiencing gasoline shortages following Ukraine’s intensified attacks on Russian oil refineries this month. The situation is further strained by a seasonal spike in fuel demand.

In response, Russia imposed a gasoline export ban for oil producers on July 28 to prevent shortages during peak summer travel and grain harvesting. However, some market analysts warn that this measure may not be sufficient to fully avoid a fuel crisis.
