Toronto, Canada A devastating fire has destroyed the St. Anne’s Anglican Church, a historic landmark situated in Toronto’s Little Portugal area.

Over a Century of History Lost

Built between 1907 and 1908, the church held the status of a National Historic Site due to its unique architectural and cultural heritage. The blaze has wiped out more than a century of religious and cultural history, leaving the community in shock.

Part of a Disturbing Pattern

Officials stated that the incident further increases the number of religious sites attacked in Canada.In recent years, around 100 churches have either been set on fire or vandalized, sparking serious concern among religious communities and national leaders.

Community Reaction

Residents and parish members described the destruction as “unimaginable,” stressing that the church was not only a place of worship but also a symbol of cultural identity and heritage. Authorities are currently working to identify the cause of the blaze.
