I appeal to the Pakistani nation to wholeheartedly participate, as they always have, in the rescue and relief campaign for the devastating flood situation currently ongoing across the country. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should also play its role for the flood victims without any discrimination.

I have always consistently raised awareness about climate change and the damages resulting from it. We first initiated the “Billion Tree Tsunami project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and, upon coming into the federal government, launched the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami” project. Along with this, we initiated several crucial environmental protection projects, including small, medium, and large-scale dams and national parks which are meant to reduce environmental devastation.

Only trees can protect the environment. Expediting work on such projects should be a national priority
My heart is deeply grieved by the loss of life and damage caused by the earthquake in Afghanistan. We stand with our Afghan brothers in this difficult hour. I also have serious concerns and regret over the forced expulsion of Afghans from Pakistan.

The drone attacks and military operations on our own people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa must stop immediately. The provincial government, including Ali Amin Gandapur, should offer full resistance on this matter. Those regions are already suffering from flood destruction; under these circumstances operations or drone strikes and eviction from their areas is equivalent to rubbing salt in the wounds.

In light of my directions, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) decision to boycott the by-elections is commendable. The candidates who withdrew their nomination papers are also worthy of praise. The members who have resigned from the assembly committees are also admirable.

I also direct them that if they have any official vehicles or privileges at their disposal, they should return them immediately. The final date for the Peshawar rally will be decided through consultation in September, after reviewing the flood situation.

Despite enduring three years of oppression and brutality, and despite being in the right, I talked about negotiations in the national interest. However, they took political victimization to the extreme against me and my family, fired live ammunition at our people and even disqualified our opposition leaders in parliament. After this, there remains no room for negotiations.

They may imprison whomever they wish from me or my family, I will not step back from my position, nor will I bow down before them.
