Iran’s Islamic regime is accused of escalating its crackdown on anti-government protesters by carrying out executions after deadly street violence.

Rights activists say the authorities are now preparing to hang detained protesters without fair legal process.

According to reports, Erfan Soltani is expected to be the first execution victim. He was arrested in Karaj on January 9 and is scheduled to be executed on January 14.

Sources claim he was denied due process, had no access to a lawyer, and was given no right to appeal.

Human rights groups warn that the executions are intended to intimidate protesters and silence dissent across the country.
