Nika Shakarami, was killed by regime forces in 2022 for refusing to wear the mandatory veil a tragedy that drew global outrage.

Since then, Nasrin and her family have endured repeated arrests, intimidation, and threats for seeking justice.

Her arrival in Germany marks a moment of relief and safety after years of suffering

as many describe her as “a true refugee seeking freedom, not privilege.”
