Israel to Honor Trump for Role in Gaza Ceasefire Deal

Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced on Monday that former U.S.Former U.S. President Donald Trump is set to be

awarded Israel’s highest civilian distinction for his instrumental role in mediating a ceasefire and facilitating the release of hostages from Gaza.

According to a statement from President Isaac Herzog’s office, Trump’s diplomatic efforts were pivotal in easing tensions and promoting peace in the region.

“Through his unwavering dedication, President Trump has not only helped reunite families with their loved ones but has also paved the way for a new chapter in the Middle East centered on stability, collaboration, and lasting peace,” Herzog stated.

The award highlights Israel’s acknowledgment of Trump’s role in recent peace negotiations aimed at ending the ongoing conflict.
