🇱🇻 Latvia to expel 841 Russian residents for refusing to learn Latvian, under new post-Ukraine invasion language law.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Latvia introduced a law requiring long-term Russian residents to demonstrate proficiency in the Latvian language.

Authorities have now enforced the measure, saying compliance is essential for integration and national security.
