Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has once again threatened NATO with the risk of war.

His remarks came after Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski suggested

that Ukraine should request international support to enforce a no-fly zone and intercept drones in its airspace.

In a statement posted on social media, Medvedev, who now serves as deputy chair of Russia’s Security Council, said

“If taken seriously, the provocative idea of Kyiv and other idiots about creating a no-fly zone over Ukraine, and allowing NATO countries to shoot down our drones, Jo will mean only

“The result would be nothing less than open war between NATO and Russia.”

The comments underline the growing tensions as Western officials debate further measures to protect Ukraine from Russian drone and missile attacks.
