Norway has announced a new military aid package worth $315 million to support Ukraine’s defense efforts.

Under this package, Ukraine will receive laser-guided missiles designed for F-16 fighter jets. These weapons are based on APKWS guidance kits, which upgrade low-cost Hydra 70 rockets into precision-guided missiles.

The upgraded rockets can be used not only by F-16 aircraft, but also from ground-based air defense systems. This will improve Ukraine’s ability to target threats accurately while keeping costs lower.

The new support is part of Norway’s continued commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s air defense and military capabilities amid the ongoing conflict.

This latest military support follows a series of Nordic countries increasing defense aid to Ukraine amid ongoing regional tensions.
