A New Zealand mother has been found guilty in the country’s infamous “suitcase murders” case.

The Auckland court ruled against Hakyung Lee, who was accused of killing her two children, Yuna Jo (8) and Minu Jo (6), and concealing their remains.

The tragic discovery was made in August 2022 when the children’s bodies were found inside suitcases purchased at a storage unit auction in Auckland.

Investigators determined the children had been dead for three to four years before being uncovered.

The case shocked New Zealand and drew international attention due to its disturbing details and the length of time before the children were found.
