Putrajaya, Malaysia Prime Minister met Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Putrajaya on
Monday, where both leaders reaffirmed their resolve to deepen the historic partnership between Pakistan and Malaysia.
Prime Minister received a warm welcome at Perdana Putra and thanked Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for the generous hospitality extended to him and his delegation.
During the talks, the two leaders held wide-ranging discussions covering trade and investment, defence, climate cooperation, education,
and tourism. A major highlight of the visit was Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement that Malaysia will import halal meat worth USD 200 million from Pakistan
a step expected to boost trade and create new opportunities in the halal sector.
Both leaders also launched the Urdu translation of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s book SCRIPT, which outlines a vision of leadership based on Sustainability, Care & Compassion, Respect, Innovation, Prosperity, and Trust.
Reflecting on the philosophy of poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal, the two sides emphasized the importance of faith, self-reliance, and
perseverance in shaping the destiny of nations. They shared admiration for Iqbal’s enduring message, which continues to inspire across the Muslim world.
The meeting also included an in-depth exchange on regional and global developments, including the situation in the Middle East and South Asia.
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to work together for peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
Prime Minister said Pakistan looks forward to expanding cooperation with Malaysia across all areas of mutual interest,
calling the partnership “a gateway to new opportunities for both nations.”
