Paris police arrest Tunisians with €10m jewelry stash

French police have arrested two Tunisian nationals after a routine inspection at a Paris train station led to the recovery of jewelry worth nearly €10 million hidden in their clothing.

According to authorities, the suspects included an adult man and a teenager. During the search, officers discovered multiple valuable items concealed in unusual ways several pieces of jewelry were stuffed inside a sock, while one of the detainees had hidden a luxury Rolex watch in his underwear.

Police confirmed that the seized valuables included a ring valued at around €1 million, a pair of earrings worth €2 million, and a necklace estimated at €5 million.

The case has since been handed over to a specialized investigative unit tasked with handling major thefts and high-value smuggling cases.
