Poland became the second fastest growing tourism market in the European Union in 2025, according to new data released by Eurostat.

The report shows that the number of nights spent in tourist accommodation in Poland increased by 7 percent compared to the previous year. This growth highlights Poland’s rising popularity among both local and international travelers.

Tourism activity increased in most EU countries during 2025, showing a strong recovery and growing interest in travel across Europe. Hotels, guesthouses, and other tourist accommodations reported higher occupancy levels in many regions.

However, not all EU countries experienced growth. Romania recorded a decline of 1.4 percent, while Ireland saw a decrease of 1.8 percent in tourist overnight stays. These two countries were the only EU members to report a fall in tourism activity.

Experts say Poland’s strong performance is linked to affordable travel options, improved infrastructure, and growing interest in cultural and city tourism.

The latest figures confirm that tourism remains an important sector for the European economy, with Poland playing a leading role in growth during 2025.
