Russia warns NATO Shooting planes means war

Russia has warned NATO of grave consequences if its military aircraft are targeted. In an interview with RTL radio,

Russia’s ambassador to France, Alexei Meshkov, said: “If NATO shoots down a Russian plane, it will mean the start of a military conflict. It will be war.”

The statement adds to escalating tensions between Moscow and the Western alliance, as the war in Ukraine continues to fuel fears of direct confrontation.
