Symbolism of Weapons in Hindu Mythology

New Delhi In Hindu mythology, many deities are shown carrying weapons, which symbolize power, protection, and the fight against evil.


For example, Goddess Kali holds the Mahakhadga (great sword) representing courage, Lord Krishna’s Sudarshan Chakra stands for justice,

Lord Shiva’s Trishul shows control over creation and destruction, and Lord Ram’s Kodanada Bow reflects righteousness.

Similarly, Lord Indra’s Vajra and Goddess Durga’s many weapons symbolize divine strength and victory of good over evil.
