Washington: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has stated that President Donald Trump considers

the acquisition of Greenland a critical national security objective for the United States, particularly to counter growing strategic threats in the Arctic region.

Speaking to reporters, Leavitt said the president believes Greenland holds significant geopolitical importance due to its location and potential military value.

She emphasized that the administration is actively reviewing multiple diplomatic and strategic pathways to advance this foreign policy goal.

“Leavitt said the administration is evaluating multiple strategic and diplomatic approaches,

noting that all instruments of national power remain available to the president if needed.

military remains among the tools available to the commander-in-chief, should circumstances require it.

The renewed focus on Greenland reflects Washington’s increasing concern over expanding

influence by rival powers in the Arctic, a region gaining global attention due to climate change,

emerging trade routes, and untapped natural resources.
