Trump Orders Pentagon to Resume Nuclear Weapons Testing Amid Global Tensions

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has directed the Pentagon to restart nuclear

weapons testing, citing similar actions by Russia and China.

In a message posted on Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump announced that due to

ongoing nuclear tests by other nations, he has

directed the U.S. Department of Defense to begin similar testing efforts immediately.

The announcement follows reports of recent Russian nuclear-powered weapons tests and

comes just days before Trump’s scheduled meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Analysts say the move could mark a significant escalation in global nuclear competition.
