Polish border guards have discovered an underground tunnel used by illegal migrants on the Poland–Belarus border. Authorities confirmed that 130 migrants were detained during the operation.

According to border officials, the tunnel stretches several dozen meters and runs beneath the border fence as well as a technical service road. The passage was allegedly used to secretly cross into Poland, avoiding border surveillance systems.

Security forces sealed the tunnel and launched further investigations to identify those responsible for organizing the illegal crossings. Officials say the discovery highlights ongoing security challenges along the eastern border of the European Union.

Polish authorities have increased border patrols and monitoring in the area to prevent similar incidents in the future.

This tunnel discovery comes as European border security faces growing pressure from illegal migration routes.
